Somewhere in between the middle of Indie, Alternative, and Classic Rock - four men based out in the woods & rural area of Big Lake on the central of British Columbia's beautiful forest & mountainside interior, have started something undeniably special with their music in Broken Hill Band. Formed prior to the pandemic era, 6 years ago, they began humbly playing covers before they realized just how much potential BHB truly possessed. With their lead-singer/guitarist and songwriter Krispin Studer having written well over fifty of his own songs by the time they first started out, Broken Hill Band quickly shifted right over to playing their own originals, and thrilled local crowds every time they hit the stage.
Every step they've taken, they've taken together - above all things, the unity shared within Broken Hill Band is what will keep them going strong for years to follow. Joining Studer in the band, is Dave Sanders (Rhythm Guitarist), Merrill O’Toole (Lead Guitarist) Tyler Torgalson (Drums), and Krispin's own dad Heino (Bass). Once they committed to going forward as BHB, momentum & inspiration surged along with them; not only was there no going back, but even if they had wanted to, the band had fast become in demand all over the province of British Columbia
So they played the incredible world-famous Williams Lake Stampede, they played the legendary Garlic Festival in Lac La Hache... they played the renowned Arts on the Fly festival in Horsefly, they played the Ribfest in Kamloops. Every stop on the map has inspired them to make another - and with every show they play, their local fan-base continues to grow exponentially - Broken Hill Band ended up being the worst kept secret in the wild interior of BC, and thanks to the support, love, and enthusiasm for their music, they're going global.
With their first released EP “ Don't You See ” recorded at the 604 Studio co-owned by Nickel backs' frontman Chad Kroeger and lawyer Jonathan Simkin, it's now making the rounds online on major music platforms. BHB has big plans to hit the studio again to record more of their powerfully diverse Rock songs for their next upcoming album - Broken Hill Band is on their way to establishing their name as premier entertainment on the front lines of the music-scene, with a hard-earned reputation for being that sonic force that's truly unlike any other. Excited for their opportunity to take their backwoods band into the mainstream and perform their songs on every stage they can play on - join Krispin, Heino, Merrill, Tyler, and Dave as they bring their addictively versatile style of all-things-Rock directly to the people, where their music genuinely belongs.
